After signing a major label deal with Warner Bros. Records this past July, DXNext alum Rich Hil has announced that his S.Y.L.D.D. (Support Your Local Drug Dealer) EP will release in January 2012.
The EP is set to feature production from Lex Luger and Cardo, known for his work on Wiz Khalifa’s projects. In anticipation of his EP’s release, Hil plans on dropping his new mixtape 500 Grams, produced entirely by Lex Luger, on December 13th.
Explaining his EP’s title, Hil said, “S.Y.L.D.D. is as dark and as heavy as life. [...] The happy part of it is the highs, but the lows are my insecurities and the coming down part. You can hear it in my voice.”
Hil will embark on a “S.Y.L.D.D.” tour in January 2012 in support of the EP.
-I’ll be damned if I don’t get some beats on this project.
